Treatment

  • Removal of staples

  • Chelation of rust from staples

  • Cloth cover consolidation using methyl cellulose

  • Repair of staple holes on cover with toned tissue

  • Paper infills and repairs

  • Guarding of sewing stations on chelated pages using repair tissue and paste

  • Rebinding of the pamphlet using linen thread in the staple holes
